we had an author visit the library and give a talk about his fairly recent and topical book. but rather than talk about his book he spent a good hour talking about himself. this was after rocking up 15 min late because he had some other more important media engagement.
a colleage said that a friend of hers once went on a blind date many years ago with abovementioned anonymous author and it was the most boring date ever.
