what part of “press play” don’t you understand?

the other day i asked someone to run a powerpoint show in my absence (as in double click on the file and let it run) and the response was like I had asked him to perform some obscure secret algorithm. wtf?!!

How did you deliver the instruction? Did you say something like, ‘Can you talk to the operational aspects of this high-level beta presentation’?

hardly. from memory it was something like: plug data projector and laptop in (power points are right next to the cords, power is already switched on); swith data projector on (the on button reads ‘on’); turn laptop on; double click on powerpoint file to play and let it run. im not as verbose as you bobo, im a simple person.
