work experience kid

we had a work experience kid the other day and had him crushing boxes and shredding stuff.  i think he had a good time. we’ve got another work experience kid coming in this thursday and he’ll also be crushing boxes and shredding stuff.   if we are extra busy he will be lucky in that he weill get to stick spine labels on books.  i am sure that he will also have a good time.

if anyone has any ideas on how to entertain this work experience kid (year ten, I think, and this was his mother’s choice of workplace), or, even better, how he can entertain us, please let me know.

Shredding and crushing – sounds like all public libraries do the same 🙂 We kindly also give our students “folding” – Welcome to the Library kits, school holiday programs. Entertains for hours!!

I think for a school student they are good tasks, but would be good to see if others have some suggestions too. Jilly B might be able to share with you, her high school student workplacement program?

  3. folding…so much potential in that. jill, yes will see what jill has to say. thanks.
