so now i am fast learning the theory and psychology of runners and running. according to runner’s world complete book of running everything you need to know to run for fun, fitness, and competition beer is good for runners because it contains chromium – a mineral that helps process carbohydrates. frozen pancakes and refried beans are also beneficial, as is mayonnaise. however i was most excited (well second most excited after beer) to read that McDonalds shakes are low fat and contain 30 % of the daily value for riboflavin and calcium and 82 % of its calories come from carbohydrate.
i think i also read somewhere in the book that you have to train as well as eat this stuff to become a good runner.
